The APB World Tour has recently secured a major broadcast distribution into 22 countries worldwide in a coup for the sport around the globe.
And there isn’t a better place to watch any form of wave riding than the notorious Teahupo’o in the tropical South Pacific.
Featuring a heavy left which handles three to 30-foot swells over razor sharp coral, this surf break is the most watched in the world.
After being discovered and first published in the early 90’s, it was the legendary Mike Stewart that rode some of the first heavy waves at what they call the end of the road.
APB chief Alex Leon, believes the broadcast agreement will provide viewers around the world with an insight into one of the most spectacular sports in the world.
“Bodyboarding is the sleeping giant of action sports and viewers around the world will see just how amazing our athletes are as they tackle the best waves in the world,” he said.
As well as delivering a worldwide, live stream of each contest, there will be eight 30-minute highlights shows featuring the world’s best body boarder’s taking on some of the most dangerous waves across the globe in what is regarded as the ‘Dream Tour’.
The event can be viewed at apbtour.com/live/ and will be run during the best surf days from April 22 to May 4.
