THE Surfing WA Clip of the Season winner and runner-up will be announced this Friday for the best wave ridden and recorded by a West Australian during the 2017 winter time-frame.
The winning clips will then enter the national final and receive a $1000 prize for their efforts.
Gopro selfies are included this year and wave riding vehicles such as longboards, shortboards, bodyboards and stand up paddle boards will be up for the top ride. Check it out as there have been some great waves.
The WSL Trestles Pro waiting period kicks off today at the famous American peak/point break which is event eight of the World Surfing Tour.
The rider leader board has become a scramble for the top as there are only four events left this year and it’s a close tussle for the yellow leaders jersey.
Last year’s event winner, Jordy Smith, will be full of confidence as he leads the ratings and performs strongly at this event, but Queensland’s Julian Wilson will also be one in contention after snatching a win at last month’s Tahiti contest which catapulted him into the top five on tour.
