Last weekend saw the beginning of the finals series for junior AFL in the community.
Four games were held at Bovell for what was a day of sunshine and nail biting football.
This Satruday the semi finals will be played, again at Bovell leading in to the grand finals on Saturday September 16.
The weekend saw the 7/8's Country's verses the Saints.
The game had several momentum changes with both teams taking control of the game at different times. Country's won the game, with the Saints now player Wanderers this weekend for a place against Country's in the Grand Final.
The 9/10's competition between Vasse and Saints. Vasse had a comfortable win in this game. The 7/8's Country's were up against the Saints, where the country's had a big win.
The 9/10's game between Wanderers and Country's saw the Country's take an early lead in the game but Wanderers did well to fight back in the later half of the game pegging back Country's lead.
They just did not quite have enough time to get past them and Country's won.
