The Porcelain Group of The Busselton Art Society will hold an exhibition at the Broadwater Shopping Centre this weekend.
Three of the porcelain artists in the exhibition - Joan Kent, Carolyn Pollitt and Aileen Alder – are members of Australasian Porcelain Art Teacher’s Association.
Along with being president of the Busselton Art Society, Ms Kent has won many awards for her work and has completed a Diploma of Fine Arts and a Diploma of Porcelain.
Ms Pollitt started lessons in 1977, she has exhibited her work at two APAT conventions and attended many workshops held by prominent porcelain artists.
Ms Alder began learning with Bobbie Fennessey and developed her drawing skills with Graham Quarterly.
She gained a teaching qualification in 2000 and has conducted workshops in Augusta, Margaret River and Busselton. Ms Alder has won prizes at the Perth Royal Show and has judged local art shows.
The Porcelain Art Group meet weekly on Wednesdays at the Busselton Art Society located at 8 Queen Street. The teachers are highly skilled and use the latest techniques.
They are very keen to teach this beautiful art and invite anyone to visit the friendly group who are passionate about showing artistic expression.
