Christian and Co electrical contractors have been recognised for their outstanding apprentice training, having been nominated as a finalist in the 2017 Host Employer of the Year award.
The company is one of three finalist in WA.
The awards, which are organised through the apprentice employment network of Western Australia, recognises the important part that host employers play in supporting an apprentice or trainee during their studies.
Christian and Co have hosted 33 apprentices and one trainee since 1995.
They are currently hosting four apprentices at the moment.
The local company said it understood the importance of high quality training, saying providing a safe workplace for apprentices to learn new skills is their top priority.
Throughout their history, Christian and Co have been heavily involved in the Busselton community, through sponsorship and work experience for school students.
Apprentice Employment Network Chairman Stuart Diepeveen said the awards are a celebration of group training.
“Regardless of which finalist wins each of the categories, they are all great ambassadors for group training and should be proud of their achievements thus far,” he said.
