A group of ten Sri Lankan surfers will be visiting Busselton and Margaret River to watch the Margaret River Masters Surf Contest.
However, in order for this to happen they need your help. There is a call out for anyone who can support the group of men with accommodation.
Organiser Johanna Parkinson said the group want to represent Sri Lanka in surfing at the 2020 Olympics and the visit would expose them to what it was like to compete.
“They are mostly surf instructors and surf school employees, earning about $125 per week,” she said.
She said they have never left their home country before and she wants to help achieve their dream.
If there are any Sri Lankan people living down south, please contact Johanna on johanna.parkinson@outlook.com.
The main thing they will need if they come in April is home cooked Sri Lankan food for 10 hungry men and possibly also some warm clothes.
