Medical emergency at Geographe Leisure Centre
Lifeguards at the Geographe Leisure Centre performed CPR on a man who suffered a medical emergency in the pool on Monday.
City of Busselton manager of community services Maxine Palmer said the man was retrieved from the water and given CPR by lifeguards who were professionally trained to respond to these types of emergencies.
She said the man was taken to hospital by ambulance to receive medical attention.
The pool was closed for a period of time.
“Centre staff must be commended for their life-saving intervention,” she said.
