City of Busselton councillors will decide on Wednesday whether they will endorse the dedication of land to build the Eastern Link road connecting The Causeway and Peel Terrace in Busselton.
The Eastern Link road and bridge over the Vasse River was identified in the city’s traffic management study as a way to ease congestion in and around the central business district.
The Eastern Link would provide an alternative route into Busselton’s town centre and for people travelling east of the central business district, it would also ease congestion around Victoria Square.
The City of Busselton will contribute a $2.5 million towards the project and received $1.25 million from the federal government’s bridges renewal program.
