The winners of the South West Development Commission’s This South West Life photography competition have been announced, with a dramatic capture from within Margaret River’s Lake Cave scoring the CEO’s Commendation Award.
Dunsborough photographer Tim Campbell collected the honour thanks to his entry, featuring Dianne Laurance in the majestic karst cave.
The photo will feature in the South West Development Commission’s 2018 calendar, promoting the best of the South West region.
Bruce King’s incredible image of a surfing dolphin off Dunsborough collected the Chairman’s choice prize, while Margaret River residents Gary Quintrell and Donna Wolter’s images will also grace the pages of the calendar.
Margaret River’s James French and Augusta’s Sherryl Lockett received runner up spots for their entries.
"Well its official, I am now a Calendar Gal," was Dianne Laurance's response to Campbell's win.
"Tim is an incredible and extremely talented young photographer and I look forward to working with him again in the future to help promote this magnificent area we live in."
Encouraged by his win, Campbell intends to enter more global competitions next year.
