The City of Busselton is holding an information session for the general public to provide detail on the Eastern Link Road project.
The project is pending authorisation from the relevant agency and is scheduled to commence construction in 2018.
The purpose of this evening is to present the design, environmental considerations and funding model for the Eastern Link project and show a digital animation of the impact the project will have on traffic flow using traffic counter data obtained during congestion periods.
The Ford Road project, on which the City is currently undertaking an environmental referral to the Environmental Protection Authority, will be the subject of future information sessions when it has been submitted to the state and federal agencies for assessment.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 5 commencing at 5.30pm. It is being held in the Kaloorup Room at the City of Busselton Civic and Administration Centre, 2 Southern Drive Busselton.
Should the number of people who RSVP to attend the information session exceed the capacity of the Kaloorup Room, the meeting may be moved to the Community Resource Centre on Cammilleri Street Busselton.
In this instance notification will be made on Facebook and on the public notice section of the City of Busselton website.
Following this referral it is envisaged that a raft of studies will be required following which, if given approval, the design, viability and eventual cost of that alignment will be able to be more accurately determined.
