The morning start and evening unwind are covered with the launch of a coffee and liquor drive-thru on Bussell Highway.
Brew+ Liquor and Coffee Drive-thru is a new venture from Cape Cellars’ owner Rob Zahtila.
Coffee from local roaster Yahava is served and liquor stock includes local craft breweries like Eagle Bay Brewing Co, Colonial Brewery, Cheeky Monkey and Bootleg Brewery.
Mr Zahtila said it was a big moment for the business when the doors opened for Brew+ on November 16.
It is another chapter in the history of Cape Cellars, which first opened in 1999 following a renovation of the old Harry’s Hardware store.
Since then, it has won numerous industry awards, extended premises twice and in 2015, moved to West Busselton Shopping Centre.
Mr Zahtila is also part-owner of Dunsborough Cellars, the towns only independent liquor store.
Mr Zahtila said independent liquor stores held a special place in the community.
“It is important that we are there to supply local product and selections that aren’t dictated by chains in Sydney or Melbourne,” he said.
Mr Zahtila credited the community for the success of the business.
“For us, community support is huge and has been really instrumental in helping us gain this license and moving to West Busselton Shopping Centre a few years ago,” he said.
“I suppose there is a feel good factor in that the community wants to support local business and local product, so we take it on ourselves to supply that.”
Mr Zahtila believed it was the customer service that independents could provide that set them apart.
