In the November 28, 2007 edition of the Mail, the Busselton Jetty was in the news with the State Government making an offer to help repair the icon, Rio Tinto held its first Busselton fly-in, fly-out flight and Leavers Week was in the headlines with large amounts of alcohol confiscated. 

In sport, Zak Ogram claimed an incredible 10 point tube ride in the first semi final to eliminate his good friend and rival Chad Simpson at the Yallingup Boardriders final.
