Songs of the season will fill the air this weekend with two Christmas concerts being held by Cape Harmony Choir.

The annual concert will go beyond the usual carols, with choir director Cornelius de Munck choosing to include alternative arrangements.

The group will take on a medieval carol from the 15th century and a contemporary piece by American composer Charles Ives from the 1920s.

Cape Harmony Choir has also prepared a version of ‘While shepherds watched their flock’ with a full four-part harmony.

The last piece performed will be one of the choir’s most loved pieces, Handel’s Hallelujah chorus.

There will also be solos and duets by various members of the choir.

Cape Harmony Choir will perform at St Mary’s Family Centre, Busselton on Saturday, December 9 at 2pm and at Dunsborough Catholic Church on Sunday, December 10 at 2pm.

Tickets are $20 and available from Callows Newsagency in Busselton, Seachange Newsagency in Dunsborough or on the door.

Tickets include a glass of port and a mince pie.
