A 35-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a stolen bike, which belonged to an international athlete in Busselton for the Ironman WA event.
The man is charged with receiving stolen property and Busselton Police are investigating further.
The specialised racing bicycle is valued at $12,000 and belongs to Rudolf Kruty from Slovakia.
The bike was reported stolen after it was taken from the athlete’s accommodation around midnight on Sunday, December 3.
Busselton Police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Jason Van der Ende said the swift recovery was a good result for police and for the athlete, who unfortunately had already return to Slovakia.
