Dunsborough’s Chloe Wain continues to dominate in the cricket scene with a outstanding performance at the Cricket Australia National Championships in Canberra.
Chloe played in the under 18 female competition and was the only country player to make the WA team.
Chloe ended the carnival as the fourth highest run scorer overall in the Twenty20 competition.
The 17-year-old also had the highest strike rate of all players (99.4) and the biggest partnership (114) with fellow opening batter Rebecca West when they defeated Tasmania.
Chloe earned a half century in the One Day competition.
She was named as the fifth highest run scorer over both formats with a total of 209 runs and was the top run scorer for the WA team.
The WA team ended up eighth at the end of the championships. The competition included players with senior contracts and who play in the Women’s Big Bash League.
Chloe has also been selected to represent WA in the Australian Country Women's Championships in Geraldton in January.
