An initiative by a South West brewery and bar is set to ensure locals and tourists alike can enjoy themselves this January and stay safe.
Black Brewing Co., Wilyabrup and Little Brother bar in Dunsborough launched a free transport service, Honest Bus, on Boxing Day.
The service will continue every Saturday this month and for special events.
Black Brewing Co. owner Stewart Sampson said the bus was a collaboration between the venues and Honest Ale, a craft beer produced at the brewery.
“We decided to buy a bus to cater for all our events this summer,” he said.
“We want to show people a good time and get them home safely.”
Mr Sampson said there was a need for a transport service to give punters a way to enjoy what was on offer in the region.
“The taxis don’t really go out here and it is very busy this time of year,” he said.
“Getting to Caves Road is a bit of drive and can be a dangerous drive.
“We don’t want people to drive after few beers.”
The Honest Bus initiative follows the launch of ride-share app, Hi Oscar, in the region in March to keep up with the demand for transport.
