The upcoming Undalup Birak Festival has added more star power to its line-up in the form of Billie Court and Michael Smith.
Court, who will support main act Apakatjah, has been performing around Australia and internationally for the past 20 years.
The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts vocalist has appeared on The Voice and sung the National Anthem at a number of high profile events, including the Australian Open Women’s Grand Final.
She is known as a versatile performer, with a repertoire covering jazz to contemporary.
Smith will return to the festival with hip hop workshops and a solo performance.
Also WAAPA trained, Smith was recently nominated for Best Newcomer by the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance Actors Equity.
Since graduating in 2012, he has worked with companies such as Bangarra Dance Theatre company, Sydney Theatre Company and Circus Oz.
The free festival celebrates local aboriginal culture and includes entertainment, dancing and weaving workshops, activities and stalls.
The event is sponsored by Healthway and will be held in the heart of Wadandi Boodja at Gloucester Park in Margaret River on January 13 from 10am to 9pm.
