Junior sailors tack into winner’s circle

THE 60th Pelican States have finished and team Geographe Bay Yacht Club had an outstanding regatta sailed in testing conditions in Esperance.

Winning the State’s teams trophy convincingly and winning the State’s best first year skipper and highest placed race for a first year skipper was Xavier Bain.

Winning the State’s best skipper trophy for 12 years and under was Ollie Roodhouse.

Winning the Endeavour Award was Myles Robinson, who improved throughout the series and who never gave up trying.

2nd – Pineapple Monday – Ollie Roodhouse and Zac Bruce;

6th – Monkey Biz – Dennis Dixon and Grace Taylor;

7th – Game Over – Finn Manning and Ela Roodhouse;

9th – Just Magic – Xavier Bain and David Manning;

10th – Bunyip 2 – Kiara Sims and Braken Fudge;

12th – Cool Runnings – Jack Taylor and Savannah Blake;

16th – Uno – Caelin Grimwood and Tarsuinn Hall;

22nd – Bunyip 4 – Myles Robinson and Ben Riggs.
