In the February 6 2018 edition of the Mail, the behaviour of a group of students at a local high school made front page news. A motion was introduced to council in response to a petition to move Schoolies Week from Dunsborough and a call was made to seal the Metricup Yelverton Road after safety concerns.
In Sport, athlete Nick Cuthbert went back-to-back in the Jetty Swim. Cross-country champion Shenae Peterson was named the Shire of Capel’s young sportsperson of the year.
