After 22 years of not seeing a clean shaven face, Busselton’s Scott Robinson took it all off for cancer research.
Mr Robson decided to shave his beard after losing his mother to the disease in 2017.
He said his mother always wanted him to get rid of the beard and he even considered shaving just before she passed.
“Instead I thought if this funny piece of facial hair might actually be able to do some good, how amazing would that be,” he said.
It has done just that, Mr Robinson managed to raise $11,000 which will go to Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
He decided to host the big occassion at his beloved Bunbury and Districts Softball Association clubrooms.
Mr Robinson said it was fitting to shave his beard off there as the association was like his extended family.
His father, did the honours of cutting the first chunk of hair before people donated money to also have a crack.
