Beer lovers descended on the annual South West Craft Beer Festival at 3 Oceans Winery on March 3.
The event featured breweries from the southern end of the state, stretching from Mandurah through to Denmark.
More than 20 breweries were involved and more than 100 beers were available for tasting.
It was the first time the event, which is in its seventh year, was held at the winery.
South West Craft Beer Festival event director Jason Dover said it was an exciting time for the local industry, which had ‘exploded’ over the last six years.
“Whilst there are more brewers now the quality is even better and they are all making beers that hold their own on a national and international level,” he said.
“When you see the best craft beer lists released from the past year for WA Brewers, more than half of them are from those based in the South West.”
