The City of Busselton is hosting a family friendly bike ride this Sunday for Bike Week.
The Apex Club of Busselton’s Geographe Bay Cycle will start at the Gale Street Foreshore area and travel to the Old Dunsborough Boat Ramp at 9am.
All ages and abilities are welcome and no registration is necessary. Riders can also join at Abbey Boat Ramp at 9.20am and Kooringal Retreat at 10am.
Prizes will be awarded for best decorated bikes.
At the finish, participants can take advantage of free bike safety checks.
Bike Week is WA’s annual celebration of people riding bikes with the aim to promote and encourage riding for transport, fun and a healthier lifestyle.
The City of Busselton’s Draft Cycling and Shared Path Network Plan, which will guide the provision of shared paths, bike parking, and signage throughout the municipality for the next five years is available for community comment from March 19 for a two week consultation period.
