Dunsborough will be attempting their third flag in a row in the C-grade of the Busselton Margaret River Cricket Association when they take on Augusta in this Saturday’s grand final at Barnard Park.
Kevin Smith bagged 4-9 off 6.2 overs last weekend to claim the best figures in Dunsborough’s second semi-final win over Augusta. In a low-scoring affair, Augusta were dismissed for 70, and Dunsborough lost six wickets in overhauling the target. Nannup made a strong bid for a place in the final when they easily accounted for St Marys in the other semi. Colin Smith took 4-15 as Nannup dismissed Saints for 77, before Leigh Guthridge hit an unbeaten 41 to see Nannup easily home. Augusta defeated Nannup in a high-scoring prelim on Sunday. Braden Warnke hit 48 and took 2-22 for the victors.
