Last week 13 ladies participated in Country Week bowls played at many clubs across Perth.
Osborne Park hosted the finals.
Busselton had five bowlers in the grand final out of a possible 16.
Jennie Bruce played Anne Blechynden from Bunbury in the singles. Jennie played well to lead 11 to 1.
Anne found her line and length to level the score. In the end Anne defeated Jennie 21 to 17.
A good contest with plenty of fantastic bowls.
In the fours event Kerry Scott, Karen Gaglia, Christine Dawson and Linda Burgin had no trouble in defeating the Moora team 15- 9 after 15 ends.
Points are awarded to teams for winning and being runners up in the singles, pairs and fours.
Busselton achieved the most points and won the bowls WA shield that they have not won in the last 50 years.
The Busselton ladies are certainly having a fantastic season.
Congratulations to everyone who participated.
