Strong winds, pouring ran and testing conditions did not dampen the spirits of triathletes taking part in this year’s Ironman 70.3 in Busselton.
Event organisers were forced to cancel the swim leg of the event with stormy conditions making it unsafe for competitors to compete.
Instead, athletes could participate in a three kilometre run before they took on a 90.1km bike leg through Tuart Forest and a 21.1 km run along the foreshore.
