Pyjama Drama South West is hosting a special Teddy Bear Picnic show to mark the Mother’s Day weekend.
Children, aged two to five, and parents are invited to bring their teddy bears to the fun-filled morning of drama and singing.
Pyjama Drama South West manager Amy Little describes herself as an ‘adventure facilitator’. This is because although she leads the show, she doesn’t dictate the direction it goes.
“The beauty of Pyjama Drama is it is fully led by the children’s imaginations,” she said.
“The places we go, the characters, it is all them and they can be as wild as they want with their creativity.
“There are no puppets, no pulling things out of boxes, no props. The children do it themselves.”
Ms Little, a trained music and drama teacher, simply provides a theme and music as she guides the children to create their own entertainment.
At the Mother’s Day show, children in attendance will also get to work on a craft activity for their mother or grandmother.
The show will be held at the Busselton Uniting Church at 9.30am on Saturday, May 12.
Tickets are $15 per child, $5 for siblings and under two is free. To book tickets, email amy@pyjamadrama.com.au or visit their Facebook page.
