Busselton Detectives and Department of Transport Officers are investigating a collision between two boats in Geographe on Thursday, May 17.
At around 6.45pm, approximately one nautical mile from shore a 6.7 metre aluminium centre cruise boat travelling back to Geographe marina struck a 4.5 metre aluminium runabout.
Both men in the runabout were thrown into the water and their boat overturned.
Both were rescued immediately and conveyed to the marina where they were conveyed by ambulance to Busselton Hospital.
A man in his 50’s received minor injuries and a man in his 20’s received serious injuries and was airlifted to Perth.
Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen the crash or either boat prior to the crash.
