Workshops for anyone living in the community with mental health issues, drug or alcohol problems, or a family member who is an addict will be held in Busselton this week.
The workshops will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at the old youth and community building on the corner of the Bussell Highway and High Street.
The Breakaway Aboriginal Corporation will run the two-day mental health workshops through funding from the WA Primary Health Alliance GP Down South mental health project.
The workshops will explore the mental health healing journey and help participants understand how mental health resilience can help themselves and others.
Participants will also learn how to build resilience to mental health stressors and applying stratgies to build more resilience.
The workshops will also run people through a range of verbal and communication strategies to help deescalate the development of mental health crises.
