Dunsborough’s Food by the Chef George Cooper will feature at this year’s Truffle Kerfuffle for the second time, and will host his first satellite event.
The popular food event is held every year in Manjimup to showcase the region’s truffles, attracting visitors from around the world.
In Cooper’s satellite event, Dinner of Dark Delights, he will create a special dinner using dark and delicious truffles, coffee, chocolate and matched wines.
Cooper has promised there will be other surprises at his dinner, that will not only tantalise taste buds, but will also be a feast for all the senses.
“I am really looking forward to the satellite event at this year’s Truffle Kerfuffle,” he said.
“I will of course be featuring truffles in our dishes, plus some beautiful Southern Forests produce, and coffee from Southern Roasting Co, which is our venue for the two dinners.
“Guests can expect a cosy setting, hearty warming winter food and matched wines from the region. I’m working on a dessert featuring chocolate and truffle too.”
Cooper will host two multi course dinners at the Southern Roasting Co premises, which will be limited to 30 people in two intimate sittings at 5pm and 8pm on Saturday, June 23.
Busselton based Paul Iskov will also host a Fervor Dinner and masterclass at the event.
Iskov’s dinner will be set in an intimate farm shed where he will harness fresh locally sourced Southern Forest produce and fresh Manjimup truffles.
Iskov will prepare a three course meal on Friday, June 22 at the Fontanini Fruit and Nut Farm.
Truffle Kerfuffle will be held from Friday, June 22 until Sunday, June 24 with the festival village located at Fonty’s Pool in Manjimup.
