The final shows of Busselton Repertory Club’s latest production, Love Letters, will be performed at Weld Theatre this week.
The show, starring Kristina Gauci and Michael Taylor, tells the story of lifelong friends, who begin corresponding as children.
They continue to exchange letters into adulthood.
Their lives take them on different paths, but despite this, romantic feelings continue to evolve.
Written by A.R. Gurney, the Pulitzer Prize drama finalist, centres on Melissa and Andrew.
The characters sit beside each other and read the cards, notes and letters of their 50 year relationship.
They talk about their dreams and disappointments over the years.
Love Letters will be performed on Thursday, June 21, Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23 at 6.30pm.
The show will also be performed on Sunday, June 24, at 3pm.
