Australian Hearing is about to reopen their hearing centre in Busselton and to celebrate will host a special event at their new premises from 2pm on Tuesday, July 3.
The new hearing centre has been setup to help people manage hearing loss, including hearing assessments, counselling and a range of listening devices which people can trial for free.
Australian Hearing Busselton manager Blanche Coyle said they had tried something new with their centre and were excited to share it with the community.
Ms Coyle said after hearing from clients their world is where they needed to hear, not a clinical environment, they adapted their centre to be more like a home.
“So we now have an interactive house where people can review the quality of their hearing in the kitchen, the lounge, watching TV or around a table sharing a cuppa with us,” she said.
“The new centre is conveniently located in the heart of Busselton, and offers the community access to a full range of hearing services.
“Maintaining good hearing is important for positive wellbeing, and living a healthy and happy life.
“We know that accepting or treating hearing loss is a big step for some people, so we want to make them feel welcome and safe.
“If anyone in the area is concerned about their own hearing, or that of a loved one, we have made it easier to take the first step to better hearing.”
For anyone who would like to attend the afternoon tea at the new Australian Hearing centre, 1/ 69 Duchess Street Busselton, please RSVP to 9792 1200.
