Three South West students’ photography skills have been put on the world stage after their pictures were selected for a postcard.
Home school students Izaak, 10, Indiana, 12, and Cameron Gee, 14, participated in a Focus Force Kids With Cameras challenge earlier this year.
Their task was to capture images of the visiting Queen Mary II. Each of their pictures was chosen to feature on the collage postcard and Cameron’s was named the captain’s choice.
Cameron said he was impressed that his image was the chosen favourite and would feature on a postcard for international visitors.
The trio even feature on the postcard themselves. On the reverse side is an image of the siblings jumping off the jetty.
Captain Peter Philpot was presented with 500 of the postcards as the ship sailed from New York to Southampton during the first week of August.
The postcards will be offered to guests aboard the ship as a gift and a chance to remember Busselton.
