Could Busselton or Dunsborough be home to Australia’s best fish and chips?
The community has a chance to see a South West store boast the prestigious title.
West Australians are being urged to show the rest of the country that west is best and home to the tastiest seafood in the National Fish and Chip Awards.
In week three of the competition, which is in its second year, Busselton’s Leeuwin Way Takeaway was listed as within the state’s top 30 stores.
It has now dropped out, and neighbouring South West shops, Blue Ocean Fish and Chips in Augusta and Seven Seas Fish and Chips in Dalyellup, have appeared in the national leaderboard.
As well as the people’s choice awards, more than 20 judges are criss-crossing the country to judge Australia’s fish and chip shops.
Judging criteria includes taste, choice, service, information and presentation.
Voting ends on September 15, 2018 and winners will be announced on October 15, 2018. To vote, visit fishandchipsawards.com.au.
