The Busselton Masters Swimming Club have celebrated their success at the 2018 Winter Postal Swim which was held in Bunbury.
The event sees swimmers from all around Australia compete against each other, 17 Masters Swimming Clubs took part and 127 swimmers competed.
Competitors were required to swim 400 metres in three different styles over a two month period which could include freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke or butterfly.
Club members recorded their best time which was compared with the rest of the competitors.
Busselton Masters Swimming Club winter coach Peter Pavlinovich recorded the fastest time in Australia, which was his third time winning the award
Club members Rhonda Pearsall and Trish Miller both finished first in their age groups and Todd Taylor swam into third place.
Taylor is one of the club’s newest member who started in their Restart Program in February this year.
Club captain Darryl Kelly said it was a fantastic result by the Busselton team who had 10 swimmers competing in the event.
The club are about to kick off their Swim into Spring program for the 2018 season, giving budding swimmers an opportunity to take a positive step towards a healthier lifestyle, meet new people who share an interest in swimming and develop swimming strokes.
The club is part of the Busselton Swimming Club, membership to the Masters Club is open to anyone aged 18 and at any level of swimming.
Membership includes professional coaching, regular training and tailored swimming programs with a special discount being offered from September 1.
