A WIDENING healthcare gap between rural Australia and the cities is the Country Women’s Association Awareness Week focus.
Tamworth evening CWA president Helen Cameron said she’s noticed life expectancy between metro and rural people is significant.
The CWA is one of the leading lobby groups for women, and will lobby all levels of government to raise awareness for the healthcare gap.
Finding better ways to train healthcare professionals locally and retaining those who move here is at the top of their agenda.
They will highlight the key issues to bring them to people’s attention.
