Lost Perth author Richard Offen will be in Busselton to talk about his latest book which brings back fond memories of bygone Perth.
The book features rare archive photographs recalling cherished places that time, progress and fashion have swept aside including the Dalkeith hot pool, William Street jetty, Crawley Baths and the Emu Brewery.
Offen retired as the Heritage Perth executive director in 2017 after 13 years in the job where he immersed himself in the history of Perth and WA.
He writes, takes walking tours of the city's historic sites and is a popular lecturer on the subject. Offen also remains a regular broadcaster on both radio and television.
He was the co-author of the National Trust book The Living Coast and penned the captions for a book of aerial photographs of the British coast entitled Coastline UK.
The Busselton event takes place at 6.30pm on Thursday, October 4 at the Dymocks store, tickets are $10 which includes wine and nibbles.
