Busselton soccer star, Asha McClurg, has had another successful year in the sport, which is going from strength to strength in the South West.
Earlier this year the St Mary MacKillop College student was picked again in the under 18 WA school girls team which travelled to play in Shepperton, Victoria in the national titles.
The girls had an outstanding tournament and came away with the bronze medal against tough Eastern Sates sides.
New South Wales and Queensland teams dominate the competition each year but WA were very competitive with some close results against the sides.
While at the tournament, Asha, 17, was picked in the shadow All Australian State schools squad, which she was thrilled about given the tough competition.
Perth-based player, Jenna Onions, was the only WA player to be named in the team.
The All Australian School Girls team will fly to the US in April 2019 to compete in the 2019 Dallas Cup.
Asha also had a great season with the South West Phoenix Firebirds.
The Firebirds had an incredible year, winning the 2018 Perth Division 1 League in their first year back from a four year hiatus.
The women were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication at the South West Phoenix Awards presentation night.
Whilst the win was a team effort, Asha was acknowledged with runner-up fairest and best for the team. Leading goal scorer for the WA Division 1 league, Eleanor Coventry, won fairest and best.
