Dunsborough artist Janette Trainer and her fellow South West Printmakers are fascinated by the fine art form.
The group’s first exhibition was held in 2006 in the hallway on the ground floor at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery.
This week, they will stage their 12th exhibition, which will run through to January 5, at the venue.
The collective was formed in 2005 by a group of visual arts students from Bunbury TAFE and Edith Cowan University.
Expanding their skills and sharing their knowledge on their passion for printmaking quickly became the primary focus of the group.
Ms Trainer said this year’s theme and exhibition title, Place Interrupted, was open to interpretation.
She said it could be something geological, man-made or part of the earth’s movement, depending on the artist.
“In my particular prints I’m quite into natural vegetation and protecting that so I looked at how that could be interrupted,” she said.
Place Interrupted opens on Friday, October 26, at 6pm at BRAG.
