Busselton Ladies Golf recently held a two-week Stableford event for the Esplanade Trophy, with Di Sanderson taking the winner score with 76 points followed by Jill Hibben with 73 points.
The day prize winner of the first week was Pam Sewell with 41 points and the second week day prize winner with a score of 40 points was Jan Mountney.
Last Tuesday, a Melbourne Cup nine-hole mixed competition was played and was followed by brunch with Bard Bawden taking the top place with 23 points against 41 other players.
Runner-up was Ross Mackenzie on 21.
About 80 people enjoyed brunch and the Melbourne Cup festivities, which included best hat awards, Di Sanderson took out the prize with her decorative garden creation.
Ron Mildenall was awarded the best male hat.
