Making headlines, Vasse MLA Troy Buswell called for an external inquiry into Busselton Shire Council’s civic precinct business plan.
He wrote to the Minister for Local Government John Castrilli, requesting that the Department of Local Government investigate the “accuracy” of the business plan.
Leavers Week had begun in the area and was ‘relatively incident free” with thousands of leavers showing up at the leavers’ zone, more sober and well-behaved than ever before. They were entertained by The Filth, which featured WA Police Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan on guitar and vocals.
In Sport, Aidan Fraser, then 17, was recognised for excelling in cricket, football, basketball and surfing . He was voted Busselton Freight Services Rising Sports Star of the Month in recognition of his sporting versatility and achievement.
