Summer Shorts is a week long series of taster workshops held at the ArtGeo Cultural Complex from January 13 to 20 which are accessible to adults and children.
The workshops include drama and musical theatre for all ages, sculpture, painting, children’s one hour workshops, dance, story-telling and performance, art tours, behind the scenes, adult drama and drawing.
City of Busselton cultural development officer Jacquie Happ said the workshops were like a short summer school and had been held in places all around the world.
“We thought we would trial it this year and have classes which have been subsidised by the City,” she said.
“There will be behind-the-scenes at the Weld Theatre, a sea-sponge painting workshop and a day with four different classes of children’s creative craft workshops.”
The program is available on the City’s website at busselton.wa.gov.au/Community-Services/Cultural-Development/Summer-Shorts. To make a booking please call 9751 4651 or go to Art Geo on Queen Street.
