The Busselton Men’s 8000 bowling event was held last weekend with 192 bowlers descending upon the bowling club.
The competition was of a high standard with seven teams losing only one game.
Teams from as far as Albany came to experience some of the best greens in the South West.
Unfortunately not everyone can win, but there were plenty trying.
Final scores to sort out the winners came down to the shot against, with five wins, 51 shots up for both first and second place-getters.
Captain Mick Stuart said he was grateful to Cape Care, Albies and Libby Mettam MLA who sponsored the weekend enabling in excess of $8000 in prize money.
The winners were G. Slavin, R . Miles, K. Read and G. Kern (all from Bunbury), from runners-up R. Pennington (Busselton), D. Foster (Donnybrook), J .Marshall (Broomhill) and J. Paganoni (Busselton).
Third place went J. Mitchell (Busselton), G. Evans (Busselton), and T. & D. Wilkinson both from Bunbury.
