BBA, rounds 18 and 19: Win and loss for Tornadoes Red's men's side

Adele and Dana East (24 and 19 respectively) led Dunsborough’s women’s side to a 75 to 49 result over Aces Sky in round 18. 

The Oilers recovered from a sluggish start to lead by five at the main break. 

Dunsborough then remained in front throughout the second half. 

Tornadoes Red launched a miraculous comeback before defeating Tornadoes Black by three. 

Ahead at quarter time, Tornadoes Red – with help from Shontai Farrant (22) and Cassady Anderson (14) – shot 13 to six in the second term. 

Tornadoes Black trio Ebony Bilcich (15), Jasmine Barrett (14), and Cian Parsons (13) kept their side in contention. 

Tornadoes Red did just enough to earn a 55 to 52 win. 

A blistering fourth-quarter spell saw Tornadoes Red’s men’s side claim its eighth win of the season. 

Up against Aces Sky, the Tornadoes faced stiff competition in the first half.

Tornadoes Red held a tight lead in the final term, before securing an 85 to 67 victory. 

Slammers Michael Lay (34) and Cory Richardson (28) top scored for Tornadoes Red and Aces Sky respectively. 

An undermanned Tornadoes Black marched to a 20-point win over Aces White. 

Troubling Aces White’s defenders, all six Tornadoes players reached double digits.

Aces White’s Devan Craig (top scoring with 25) kept the underdogs in the contest during the first half. 

Leading 38 to 28 at the main break, Tornadoes Black got the better of Aces White in the third and fourth quarters. 

Tornadoes Black nabbed a resounding 84 to 64 result. 

Bulls kept its winning streak alive with an 85 to 68 victory over Eaton. 

Despite the Eagles’ enthusiasm and coordination, Bulls led comfortably throughout the game.

In round 19, Dunsborough’s men’s team narrowly beat out Tornadoes Red. 

Efforts from Harry Mooney (20) and Garrett Streeter (14) ensured a 69 to 65 win for the visitors. 

Bulls remains on top following its 87 to 68 victory over Aces Sky. 

Thanks to former Slammers Travis Durnin (38) and Clive Weeden (33), Bulls dominated Aces Sky throughout the contest. 

Tornadoes Black notched up its 14th win of the season with a strong display against Eaton. 

Jason Smith landed 27 and Matt Leary sunk 22 in the Tornadoes’ 89 to 51 victory. 

In the women’s league, Tornadoes Black returned to the winner’s circle after defeating Aces Sky, 84 to 52. 

Given her time to shine, Tornado Javene Fitch landed 20 points including four free throws. Parsons (19) and Zaya Lilly Black (17) also excelled for the league leaders.  

Lauren Vincent top scored for Aces Sky with 16.
