Throwback Thursday – 10 years ago in the Busselton Dunsborough Mail | photos

It’s our favourite time of the week – a chance to reflect on the changes in our region, the faces and the fun that was being had 10 years ago this week.

Take a look at our gallery and see if you can spot any familiar faces.

Making the news 10 years ago, descendents of original Busselton settlers, Alfred and Ellen Bussell, erected a replica headstone on their grave in Busselton’s historic cemetary at St Mary’s Church.

The State Government formed an independent foreshore steering committee to consider the redevelopment of the Busselton foreshore.

The reality of bushfires that ravaged Victoria hit home when Bunker Bay Resort and historic Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse came under threat of a blazing bushfire at the Cape.

In Sport, the iconic Busselton Jetty Swim and the Busselton Runners Club’s Half Marathon were held.
