The Drop Festival has launched a triple j Unearthed competition to select any artist or band to play at each festival location on the surf-themed tour.
The winners will be joining the already huge line up, including brother-sister duo Angus and Julia Stone, Australia's favourite electric-dance act Client Liaison and rising star Alex the Astronaut.
Returning for its second year with two new locations The Drop has also announced the sites for this year’s events.
Set against the backdrop of some of the greatest surfing events on the planet, The Drop will take place at King Edward Park in Newcastle, Keirle Park inManly, Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta, Torquay Common in Torquay, and Barnard Park in Busselton.
The festivals will take place on the first weekend of each of the three WSL Championship Tour events in Australia, as well as WSL Qualifying Series events Surfest Newcastle & the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro.
Applications for the Unearthed competition close at midnight AEDT Sunday March 3rd 2019.
All artists from NSW, VIC, WA and QLD who have tracks uploaded to triplejunearthed.com during this time will be eligible.
