The popularity of a series of second-hand community sales has prompted the City of Busselton to host a reuse car-boot sale on Saturday, March 9.
The Summer Sellathon follows the success of the annual Garage Sale Trail and Signal Park Sellathon, which has been held in October for the past few years.
Mayor Grant Henley said there was growing interest among the community for these types of events, which encouraged recycling and reuse.
“We’ve had calls from the community to host more than one such event a year, the result is the Summer Sellathon," he said.
“This is a great opportunity to declutter the house or shed of items that are no longer needed and make some spare cash.
“For buyers it’s an opportunity to uncover some real treasures, mingle with the community and support the recycle, reuse ethos.”
The event will be held at Signal Park and from 8am to 12pm.
It is free to register to have a stall at the Summer Sellathon and entry into the sellathon for buyers is free.
As the market is about encouraging reuse and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill, only second hand and pre-loved items are eligible to be sold.
The registration form is available here or at the city's administration building at 2 Southern Drive.
