Set your alarms Busselton, Western Growers opens their doors at 6.30am on Friday, March 15 offering shoppers access to fresh produce direct from farmers and food producers in the region.
Western Growers co-owner Mick Chitty said they were so excited and that the team was feeling a lot of anticipation in the lead up.
"For what we wanted to achieve, it looks like we will definitely get there with 98 per cent of the produce coming from WA," he said.
"It is really fantastic, that is what we wanted to do, promote this area and the beautiful produce which we have here."
Mr Chitty said hopefully the customer experience would be something completely different to what people expected and they would be able to find what they wanted at the store.
"It will be a real different experience, it will not be like any other shop that is around, which is what we wanted to create as well - a real feeling of what is around," he said.
"Nearly 80 per cent of our fruit and vegetables will come direct from Manjimup and 20 per cent from other markets including orchards around here."
Co-owner Sonja Mitchell said despite the excitement they were still feeling a little nervous.
"It has just been such a big thing for us, we have put our hearts and souls into this," she said.
"We really believe in regional WA and the local area, the produce here is amazing and to have it all under one roof has just been a dream.
"All our meat comes from farmers within 300 kilometres, we do not have anything from the Eastern States, a lot of people do not realise that meat might be butchered here but it comes interstate."
Ms Mitchell said there was a kitchen within the complex where local produce would be turned into ready-to-eat meals including sushi, pastries and more.
"We have an amazing award winning pastry and pie maker who has worked in farmers markets all his life and has worked in Paris, he will be doing his famous pies, quiches and sausage rolls," she said.
"We will start off with our signature array of meals and then will grow as time goes on."
The store will be open seven days a week from 6.30am to 6.pm on weekdays, 7.30am to 5pm on Saturdays and 8.30am to 5pm on Sundays.
