Busselton Golf Club was awarded the Regional Golf Facility of the Year at the annual gala dinner and awards night for Golf WA.
The award recognised a facility which has shown a high standard of performance across a number of areas during 2018.
The award was judged on membership retention and growth, financial performance, clubhouse and golf course operations, contribution to the community and participation at the club.
The Busselton Golf Club was awarded the honour ahead of other finalists Kalgoorlie Golf Course and the Spalding park Golf Club in Geraldton.
Busselton Golf Club general manager Ross Davis said their submission focused on the community aspect of the club and how they assist charity and special events.
Mr Davis said they also had a membership base which was extended to include nine-hole memberships, Sunday only golf and fly-in-fly-out memberships to cater for different needs.
"Apart from the fact that almost 40,000 rounds of golf were played at the course throughout 2018," he said.
"I was very proud to accept the award on behalf of the club, while I am new in the role I can already see the hard work that goes on behind the scenes by volunteers and staff at the club.
"We are very lucky to have a first class golf course that would stack up very well against all Perth metropolitan courses."
The next charity event to be held at the club is the Gail Kearney Memorial Busselton Hospice Golf Day which takes place on Friday, March 29.
The club also recently hosted the Uscape Geographe Ladies Golf Classic which saw more than 220 ladies from around WA play at the club.
