When former Busselton resident Fiona Morgan's father passed away the family hoped to retrieve some of his items which held sentimental value.
Living in the Eastern States made it difficult and a person said they would send the items to the family once they were able to access Geoff Morgan's former home.
Sadly for the family, the items were never sent and it is believed they were taken to the Busselton Lion's Shed after Ms Morgan's wedding album was recovered there.
"My dad ran in the Olympic Torch relay through Busselton, he was nominated to run in the relay for the work he did with the volunteer fire brigade," she said.
"He had the torch and when he passed away there were a few family items in the house that we wanted to get back."
Last weekend, Ms Morgan received a text message from her wedding photographer who was contacted because her wedding album had turned up at the Lion's Shed.
After speaking to people who worked at the Lion's Shed, Ms Morgan was informed the Olympic Torch which belonged to her dad had turned up there about four months ago.
"Now we are hoping to get that one item back, the Lion's Shed is kind of out of the way and it is likely only people in Busselton know it is there," she said.
"We are desperately hoping someone in Busselton has it."
Other items they would like to retrieve are fire brigade antiques including a fire extinguisher and a brass helmet and decorative stairs that were knee height.
"Dad built the stairs back when he did an apprenticeship and my brother really wanted to keep those, we just do not know where anything has gone," she said.
"It has been pretty difficult, if anyone has anything from the Lion's Shed in the last six months that looked like it could be a family's history or something please contact us."
If anyone has information or knows where the missing items are please contact Ms Morgan by emailing fiona@otgc.com.au.
