The 16th Gail Kearney Memorial Busselton Hospice Golf Day teed off on Friday taking the total money raised for the Busselton Hospice Care Inc well over $508,000.
Event organiser Neil Honey said it was the best golf day they held over its 16 year history, with $33,000 raised on the day.
Mr Honey said golfers who participated on the day were still phoning him to thank them for a wonderful time.
This year a private donation of $10,000 took the the golf day organisers well on their way to raising more than $500,000 for the community group.
Busselton Hospice Care Inc is funded through the generosity of donations and fundraising activities in the community.
More than 400 volunteers from the community have provided end of life and bereavement support to people and families for more than 15 years through Busselton Hospice Care Inc.
Volunteers provide bereavement services and complementary therapy programs to families in the hospice unit at the Busselton Health Campus.
